What will the apprentice be doing?

The main duties of the apprentice will include –

  • Administration support to the venue finding and event management team
  • Supporting event management to prepare, deliver and reconcile events
  • Enquiry handling - understanding the requirements and objectives of each enquiry, followed by research and the proposal of suitable options
  • Negotiation of rates and terms with venues and suppliers
  • Contacting / building positive relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Supplier Knowledge - Attending onsite learning opportunities, such a venue expos and supplier awareness days, along with visiting offsite venue for site visits
  • Onsite Event Support
  • Virtual Event Support
  • Training and delivery of digital services, including virtual platform, app and web building
  • Completion of Risk Assessments
  • Learning about our personal commitment to sustainability, along with the services we can offer our clients
  • Travel and Logistics, including supporting with Congress management
  • Ad hoc duties related to this role
