Opportunity to take part in various functions in the kitchen such as preparation of ingredients, cooking dishes as specified by the senior chefs and cleaning duties. You will be given opportunities to suggest dishes for the new menu / specials and help out in our seasonal events.

A five-day week. The pub is open Tuesday to Sunday. The rota tbc will be provided one week in advance and will incorporate college hours. The contracted hours are 30-40 per week, negotiable.

Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard - Commis Chef:
- Level 2 Commis Chef - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Functional skills at level 1 and/or 2 in English and maths as required (exemptions apply)
The successful candidate will also need to complete a diagnostic assessment, which will help us plan the appropriate support required to meet their individual needs.
Training will be delivered via a day release programme including practical workshops. This will total 288 hours of off-the-job training to be delivered by and at Bridgwater and Taunton College.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, you will be qualified to work as a Commis Chef. Progression from this Apprenticeship is expected to be into a Chef de Partie role or Senior Production Chef role.
