We are a nursery with a very close relationship with staff, children and families. Our aim is to bring an extended learning environment to our staff, children and families as a family-based nursery.

What will the apprentice be doing?

As part of your training as an apprentice you will be involved in all aspects of nursery life. We will support you to learn about the EYFS, observing the children learning and planning and supporting activities for them. You will be involved in the day-to-day care routines for the children including meal times and toileting. We will support you to learn about the role by providing as part of your training as an apprentice you will be involved in all aspects of nursery life. You will be involved in the day-to-day care routines for the children including meal times and toileting. We will support you to learn about the role by providing you a mentor. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

To complete the training for your successful achievement you will study the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours as set out in the specification leading to final End Point Assessment for the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There are many options for progression once the apprenticeship finishes.

Within each room there is a Deputy Room Manager and Room Manager, which is a role that you can be trained for and progress to.

Health and Safety Lead, ENCO, Forest School Lead, Further educational opportunities.

Things to consider

There are times where you will be required to work outside; visiting forest school, going for walks out in the local community, playing in our outdoor provision. You will be required to lift children at times and there is equipment within the nursery that needs lifting and moving at times.
