What will the apprentice be doing?

·        Mechanical design tasks on CAD e.g. producing design models, assembly & component manufacturing drawings, bills of materials.

·        Scoping calculations for mechanical design solutions and sales proposals.

·        Experiencing design projects in our factory providing valuable hands-on education.

·        Potential site visits to determine customer requirements, survey existing equipment, record site measurements, etc.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) - for all starts from 1st July 2017

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be a possibility of a full time position after successfully completing this apprenticeship.
