We are looking for two apprentices to join our team, to start your hairdressing journey and to learn all areas of hairdressing with a salon in Cambridge. This apprenticeship could lead to exciting opportunities.

What will the apprentice be doing?
We would like our apprentices to feel confident in our salon, this is not your conventional apprenticeship position, we are looking for someone we can help gain basic skills quickly to ensure they can get as much hands-on experience as possible. Finding themselves models for regular training in salon time to progress to a high standard of hairdressing. They will also be helping maintain the salon's upkeep along with all our staff, we like to work on a fair level.
- Greeting clients as the arrive
- Dealing with payments and appointment bookings
- Shampooing, draping and brushing out a client's hair before the cut or style
- Preparing colour treatments
- Supplying refreshments to clients
- Maintaining the presentation of the salon at all times
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The practical period is the time dedicated to the development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours for your apprenticeship which includes the following components;
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing
- Hair Professional Standard skills, knowledge and behaviours.
- Functional Skills Level 1 maths and English (exemptions apply).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Following the apprenticeship period, we would love to see the candidate progress in our salon. Further roles and responsibilities can be gained, alongside the chance of working between our Cambridge and London salons and occasionally at events and festivals too.
