What will the apprentice be doing?

  • As a Reablement Support Worker apprentice, you will learn the skills and knowledge to support and help people to regain and, in some cases, learn new skills to live as independently as possible
  • You’ll help them to establish independence, gain confidence and develop social connections that will enable them to meet their aspirations
  • Our clients need support seven days a week including bank holidays, our core service hours are from 7am to 10pm, we need people who can commit to this and recognise that we work in the community and on our own
  • As an Reablement Apprentice support Worker you undergo the relevant training for the role alongside the Level 2 Apprenticeship
  • To join us, you’ll need the ability to engage with vulnerable people
  • You will need the ability to build collaborative working relationships with their personal support network, our partner agencies and services
  • Being Flexible in your ability to fulfil the demands on service

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Delivery to be completed on-site and via off the job training for 6 hours per week either at Barnsley College or your place of work
  • Student to complete an Intermediate Technical Certificate in Adult Care Worker Level 2

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • To develop your employability skills and work experience whilst gaining qualifications to support you towards a successful technical or vocational career.
