What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include:

  • Undertaking data collection from multiple sources to generate relevant data for analysis.
  • Analysing and interpreting collected data using statistical tools and various software.
  • Maintaining databases and data systems, as well as identifying new process improvement opportunities.
  • Interpreting raw data and identifying patterns to provide clarity to the non-technical audience.
  • Creating visualisations: dashboards, flowcharts, and graphs to relay business concepts through visuals both to colleagues and clients.
  • Learning to code and re-code data contained within various databases including Power Platform to identify patterns.
    Working with a variety of Microsoft administrative applications such as Office 365.
  • Working under tight schedules, prioritising multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Undertaking in-depth research and presenting findings clearly via reports and presentations.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship equips individuals with the ability to source, format and present data securely for analysis using basic methods. Apprentices will learn to analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes, blend data from multiple sources and communicate outcomes appropriately to their audience. All modules consist of online self-paced learning and a live training component. These components are linked to work-based projects that the learner completes to support them in building competencies and their portfolio. The following training modules are completed by apprentices on this standard: Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate Data Literacy Data Analysis and Visualisation with Excel Databases and Data Modelling Data Challenge.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression to D365 Power Platform Consultant, D365 Power Platform Developer or D365 Power Platform Solution Architect.

Things to consider

Transport information: Hybrid working including working from home. When visiting our London King's Cross office, parking is not required as commuting will be via a train. If visiting client sites, parking will be available. Benefits include: The holiday year is from the 1st of Jan - 31st of Dec. Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days per year and annual public holiday entitlement is 8 days per year. 6 monthly pay review based on achievement of agreed development goals during the apprenticeship. All required hardware for the role will be provided. Pension scheme available. Health insurance and life insurance available. Please note, you will be required to provide formal documentation, in accordance with Home Office guidelines, to show you are eligible to work in the UK.
