What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality care and activities for children which
recognise both individual and group requirements. - Work alongside parents and other family members and
make them feel welcome. - To be involved in out of work activities e.g., staff training courses.
- Monitor, identify and evaluate areas of improvement.
- Deliver childcare in a way that meets parents’ needs and work in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times.
- Interact and support children of all age groups as required.
- Ensure the highest standard of child safety is always
paramount within the nursery. - Complete relevant paperwork associated with the children
and nursery requirements. - Candidates who wish to be considered for L2 are very
welcome to apply as well.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you will achieve is a Level 3 Early Years Educator.
Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 in
maths and English, must achieve these prior to end point
assessment.
Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be
planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet
the individual needs of the apprentice.
The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job
activities and training.
On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the
workplace.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Progressing to permanent ongoing employment.
