What will the apprentice be doing?

General admin duties such as:

  • Liaising with customers and engineers
  • Arranging engineers diaries
  • Updating client portals
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Photo copying
  • Updating the in house database
  • Logging lift breakdowns and service visits
  • Receiving incoming calls and materials
  • Collating and dealing with the transfer of information internally and externally plus much more

The role and responsibilities will develop over the apprenticeship and beyond based on the successful candidates capabilities and attitude.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administrator Level 3.

Each apprenticeship with ABM Training comprises expert led ‘CPD style’ workshops, interactive online virtual classrooms forum theatre 1-2-1 coaching and e-learning. You may also be required to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills if not already obtained. 

Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by ABM Training Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On completion of the apprenticeship, with the right attitude and competence there may be room for career progression but this cannot be guaranteed. Classic Lifts have a culture of promoting from within and always look to existing members of the team before going to the market when a new position becomes available. It all depends on the amount of work and effort put in by the individual.
