What will the apprentice be doing?

This vacancy involves working with an on-site team which maintain the large grounds of the Business Park, providing high quality horticultural standards for our client. It requires working in all weather conditions, developing the skills to identify and maintain the plants e.g. pruning, planting, hedgetrimming, grass cutting, weed control. It involves operating a range of grounds maintenance tools and equipment.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Horticulture apprenticeship standard.
  • Emergency first aid: Level 3 award in emergency first aid at work.
  • Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides
  • Functional skills if required
