What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Undertake training as required.
    Work safely, wear PPE as required and report any non-conformances.
    Work within deadlines to instal/repair roof systems to required standards.
    Work as a team in planning installations and repairs to ensure efficiency and minimum wastage.
    Maintain work standards.
    Lifting and carrying materials when required.
    Work as a team in the delivery of general work requirements.
    Take part in reviewing and adjusting specific worksite activities to meet production schedules.
    Adhering to the company’s policies.
    Adhering to project procedures, worksite policies and human resources policies fairly.
    Working as a team in the execution of the work, including quality, inspecting work continuously and initiating timely problem resolutions.
    Ensuring quality is achieved and wastage kept to a minimum.
    Responsible for own Health & Safety on site and reporting any issues to management immediately.
    This is not an exhaustive list and other duties will be required from time to time.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Roofer Level 2.
  • Functional Skills Level 1 Maths.
  • Functional Skills Level 1 English.
  • Attend college in two-week blocks.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To become fully qualified and be offered a full time post.
