What will the apprentice be doing?

MATCH Accounting are working in partnership with PETA to recruit and train an Admin Assistant Apprentice to work in a varied office support role.

The Admin Assistant Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages
  • Filing, scanning, typing and posting documents
  • Updating policies
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Monitoring emails
  • Setting up meeting rooms and offices for events
  • Producing weekly reports and statistics
  • Taking and distributing monthly meeting minutes
  • Credit control
  • Requesting, checking and entering HMRC codes
  • Marketing including weekly blogs and meetings
  • Assisting with bookkeeping
  • Supporting with and referring IT issues
  • Maintaining office workflow system

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.

You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Excellent future progression routes including the opportunity to move into a marketing, accountancy, or business development role with further training opportunities
