Apprenticeship in early years BROCK HOUSE NURSERY SCHOOL LTD

We are looking for someone who is passionate about children to join our friendly team, you will learn the practical skills you need to work in a day nursery as well as looking into the theory behind how children learn. You will be working fulltime with 30 hours paid at apprenticeship rate and 10 hours at minimum wage.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Engaing with the children, helping to support their everyday learning
  • Daily jobs such as helping to set up and clean up activities including meal times and garden time.
  • Role model and encourage personal, social and emotional skills
  • Learn about planning, circle time, free play and adult led activities

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will gain a Level 2 early years practitioner qualification and then go on to complete Level 3 early educator

As well as on the job training you will have some time out each week to complete some course work

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Can go on to complete Level 3 early years educator and then become a fully qualified part of the team

Things to consider

About the employer

Brock house has been around for over 20 years and have a lot of long standing staff members. We are a day nursery registered for 18 babies and 43 2-5 yr olds.
