What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Cash Collection and Query Management of the PRH & 3rd Party Client Sales Ledger to meet targets and business needs
  • Daily Payment Allocations/Reconciliation covering all accounts
  • Managing large deductions via offline spreadsheets
  • Investigation of Claims/queries through to resolution to enable prompt payment of invoices and minimise the risk of bad debt
  • Responsible for all Marketing/Retro/Promo deals liaising directly with all Publishers
  • Managing the dispute/acceptance process for all Audit/Pricing Claims
  • Balance priorities to meet deadlines and agreed month end targets
  • Liaisons between publisher/customer ensuring disputes are settled in a timely manner
  • Keeping and updating relevant records
  • Involvement on Customer/Publisher meetings
  • Regular Liaison with Warehouse, Returns and Customer & Client Services

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will be working towards the Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Qualifications include AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
  • All delivered within the workplace via online training and at Colchester Institute Campus

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Could lead to further roles within credit services or other finance functions within PRH, including group finance.
