What will the apprentice be doing?

You will join a lively team, supporting the day-to-day running of the business. On this apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to work with and gain knowledge from colleagues across departments.
You will learn all aspects of office work in this busy and varied role. Duties will include taking a high level of telephone calls, data entry, letters, completion of timesheets, work on a variety of internal PC programmes. You will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, outlook and excel. You will need to have a good telephone manner and a flexible and willing attitude to work and learning.
Other duties will include:
Dealing with email enquiries
Database entry
Support Pest Control Manager in all areas of Admin

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. The successful candidate would start as soon as possible.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Whilst the delivery of training and some of the content will be bespoke to employer’s needs, there are key elements that will be covered throughout. These will focus on the importance of: Effective Communication at all levels The principles of Business Administration Project Management skills Managing Personal and Professional Development Contributing to improvement of Business Performance Developing / Preparing and / or Delivering Presentations Preparing business documentation Managing and preparing for Business Meetings Storing / Retrieving / Analysing and/or presenting Business Data Basic Financial Management principles On completion of this 18 month course you will have achieved: Level 3 Business Administration

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is a busy and varied role with an opportunity to learn all aspects of administration for this depot and progress to a more senior position over time.
After your first year you will receive a pay increase in-line with Minimum Wage for age.
