What will the apprentice be doing?
- This role is Apprentice service field-based installation engineer, and you will be involved in the assembly testing, repair and installation and commissioning of our range of ancillaries as well as any repairs, service work and troubleshooting, when necessary, both at customers sites and Chesterfield as required
- You will work on projects, open jobs and work in collaboration with our engineering, sales and other members of our team in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction
- You are also to attend college or training centre as and when required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study on a Level 3 Engineering Technician standard on a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician pathway. On completion of this, you will gain a qualification in Engineering at Advanced Level 3 standard.
During the first year of the apprenticeship, your learning will take place at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre based at Catcliffe, Rotherham, for an initial block of study on a full-time basis. After this, you will attend the Training Centre for one day a week for knowledge study.
