What will the apprentice be doing?

In this Apprenticeship role, we’ll support you to:

  • Deliver good customer outcomes and improve customer experiences across all our relevant Claims journeys
  • Manage customer and third-party interactions in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Deliver high standards of customer satisfaction, in line with processes & procedures
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Register or handle cases to progress claims in line with established standards
  • Assess claims against relevant criteria and experience to identify any potential issues
  • Use approved suppliers to ensure repair, replacement and supply of goods and services to customers and third parties
  • Proactively develop your skills and knowledge, applying best practice techniques to maximise your performance

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As careers go, Insurance claims is amazingly satisfying and by joining our programme you will have the chance to experience it for yourself. We’ll support you to achieve the Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification, which also includes the Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as well as giving you access to excellent benefits as part of your career development, including:

Your programme is delivered through blended learning, with virtual and in person workshops.  You will receive 6 hours per week to study towards your Apprenticeship and qualifications.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You will be a permanent member of the team from day one at RSA and the career possibilities are vast, you could choose to go down a technical claims or underwriting route, or through to a leadership role.  All RSA roles would be in scope and open to advance your career where suits you.
