3K joining bonus plus annual increase of up to £4000 dependant on performance in placements and college. Flexible working hours, paid overtime, a comprehensive pension scheme, company bonus schemes and superb learning and development opportunities.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Environmental Engineering apprentices work with our experienced professionals to test our products and ensure that they can withstand the environments for where they will be used.
You'll witness, control and apply extreme climatic and mechanical environments, from simulating the extreme cold of artic conditions to the incredible temperatures induced by supersonic flight. From combined complex low pressure, high humidity and low temperature environments to multiple system 3D vibration simulation.
You'll work in the following areas during your apprenticeship:
- Mechanical and Climatic Test
- Structural test
- Facility maintenance
- Data acquisition and analysis
- Project control
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Our Product design and development engineer (degree) apprenticeship within the Environmental Engineering Function, is a 4 year course where you will study towards a fully funded Bachelor’s degree in Product design and development engineering. You will study for this qualification on a minimum of one day release per week, at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.
Study on this programme will be a blend of virtual and face to face.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Through regular one to ones, development plans and the use of Mentors, you will have the opportunity to shape your career within the organisation. We have many senior members in the organisation that started life as an MBDA apprentice.
