What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include while being supervised:

  • Basic general engine servicing
  • Completing visual mechanical inspections
  • Complete brake system checks and part replacements
  • Shadowing of experienced technician with complexed tasks and MOT repairs

Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship Standard 

  • Functional Skills in English and maths (if applicable)

As an apprentice, you will attend Skills Group one day per week at our facilities in Plympton. The remainder of your working week will be spent with your employer, gaining relevant knowledge and experience for the role.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the Level 2 Programme, there may be an opportunity for you to progress onto your Level 3, and work towards MOT tester qualifications.
