You will be working alongside an experienced administration assistant to support with running the school office in a busy primary school in Ellesmere Port. Each day is different at Wolverham Primary, and we require someone who is flexible, has a good sense of humour and is able to respond quickly to situations that may arise.

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be working alongside our current administration team to run the school office.

  • Be a point of contact for queries and questions regarding the school/school day.
  • Create communication to be sent to parents/carers and other companies.
  • Maintain basic HR records for staff (full training given).
  • Maintain databases and records for school such as school meals and trips out.
  • Photocopying support for the whole school.
  • Supporting with room bookings and hires of the community room. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Standard in Customer Service Practioner.

This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.

If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 1 Functional Skill in the relevant subject.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To secure a permanent role in working in the school office as an administrator.
