What will the apprentice be doing?
ISG Technology Ltd work with some of the leading names in IT such as, Cisco, HP, Netgear, BT and many more, the company have enjoyed continued growth, enabling them to offer this fantastic opportunity. As well as in-house training, you will also complete technical training with the Apprenticeship Training provider, who will be an official Microsoft partner and Tech Industry Gold training partner.
IT Apprentices accompany a Senior Engineer each working day, assisting in the completion of jobs including:
- Supply, Installation and Testing of Structured cabling
- Supply, Installation and Testing of Fibre Optic cabling
- Supply, Installation and Testing of Voice/Telephony cabling
- Installation of WIFI networks
- Installation of Network switches/Routers/Firewalls
- Installation of Epos Systems and other active kit.
Gain the knowledge and skills to confidently install, test and certify copper and fibre cable installations whilst working to the correct standards and best practices. Have the desired levels of competency and confidence to install Smart Building technology such as wireless access devices, VoIP telephony, CCTV cameras, door access controls and biometric security systems.
Apprentices will gain experience on how to design, install and commission all of the above using specialist tools, power tools along with expensive precision test and commissioning equipment.

Network Cable Installer Level 3
End Point Assessment (EPA)
Working with qualified staff on-site with college attendance training.
You will be required to attend Bespoke block release delivery at Dudley College, Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology Campus, Zoological Drive, Dudley, DY1 4AL.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Likely to be offered permanent position within the company.
Progression onto a level 4 IT Professional apprenticeship, Network Cable Installer or working as a Field/Service Engineer.
