What will the apprentice be doing?

Qube Learning are working in partnership with The Princes Trust on a new Health Care Sector project for 16-30 year olds. This project is designed to help young people into any role within the sector. This specific position has been recognised as a opportunity that fits in with the locations and roles we currently working with. If you are aged 16-30 years old and apply for this fantastic opportunity, you will automatically be invited onto the programme. You will receive tailored support and guidance to help you in your application. After receiving your application we will contact you to book you in for a short induction, explain more about the programme & role and how we can help you!

You will complete a Adult Care Worker Level 2, lasting 15 months. All your training will be work-based. Functional Skills maths and English will be included if you haven't already achieved GCSE grade 4/C and above.

Poets Mews Care Home, located in Clevedon, is currently recruiting for dedicated and caring team players to join us as Care Assistants.

It is equally important that you can demonstrate the right behaviours and attitude for working in an adult social care environment. You need to love working as part of a team. A full induction programme will be provided, alongside formal training opportunities. The role will require you to work shifts on a rota.

Our brilliant Care Assistants undertake the following tasks:

  • Provide person centred care to our residents in all aspects of their daily living
  • Ensure that the needs of our residents are met, including social, emotional and physical needs
  • Support and assist residents at meal times in accordance with their individual needs
  • Help to promote independence and dignity in all of our residents
  • Ensure that all clinical records are kept secure and are updated at the appropriate times
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues
