What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Safety training/induction of project team
  • Resource
  • Subcontractor Approval
  • Implementation and maintenance of approved processes, procedures, H&S and technical standards
  • Help to manage relevant sub-contractors, I.e., monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health and safety
  • Client specifications
  • Snagging process and manage all corrective actions
  • Ordering of materials/plant
  • Facilitate achievement of delivery team targets in terms of time [programme], cost and quality
  • Understand and meet client expectations
  • Attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication
  • Various Health & Safety Procedures
  • Learning to understanding of project commercials
  • Preparation of site-specific client quotations
  • Help with supplier and sub-contractor invoices
  • Delivery of KPI’s

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Associate Project Management Apprenticeship Level 4 includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • Work-based delivery of Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Full company induction including health & safety
  • 20% off the job time will be given for study/assignments
  • Monthly contact session with your PV trainer
  • Internal training provided by your employer and workplace mentor

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Trainee Project Manager to then move on to a fully qualified Project Manager within GSS
