What will the apprentice be doing?

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Embedded electronic systems design and development engineer (degree) level 6
- You will study for a BEng (Hons) Degree in Electronic & Computer Engineering through day release
- You will complete a Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations
- You will gain Professional Registration as IET Engineering Technician (EngTech)
- You will complete 6-month rotations in Live Avionics engineering teams to gain skills and experience in Years 2 - 4
- You will complete a longer rotation, within a specific engineering discipline, to continue experience depth in Year 5
- You will get training to improve your Professional Development Skills, including collaboration and leadership skills, presentations and business insight
- You will completet a GE Team Development Award Scheme
- You will get support from Technical, Academic and Pastoral Mentors
- There will be numerous opportunities to participate in STEM outreach activities, local schools' engagement, the GE Apprentice network and various external events such as the Cheltenham Science Festival, Imagineering Shows (such as Farnborough and Royal International Air Tattoo), RETHINK (to promote & strengthen Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and a sense of Belonging within STEM)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Position as Systems, Software or Hardware Engineer developing Aircraft Systems
- Optional progression to a Level 7 Masters Degree Apprentices
