What will the apprentice be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reception - greeting patients and dealing with queries
  • Answering phone calls
  • Answering queries from patients and colleagues
  • Making appointments
  • Will learn how to use EMIS, Accurx (text messaging software), docman (used for hospital letters)
  • The successful candidate will move on to coding and referrals once they are proficient in the basic booking of appointments and dealing with patients and third party queries
