What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Logging and resolving 1st level IT related issues
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware
  • Password and account settings for email systems
  • Email hosting and solutions including 365. MS Exchange
  • Computer upgrades

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will work towards a level 3 IT Solutions Technician qualification.

Functional skills for maths and English if required. 

This apprenticeship is recognised for entry onto the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, Register of IT Technicians confirming level 3 professional competence. Those completing the apprenticeship can apply for registration.

This means during the 1st year at DDS there is the opportunity to increase annual salary by £800 - £2,000.
