What will the apprentice be doing?
- Building and testing of electronic modules to a consistently high standard (including manual assembly using hand tools)
- Consistently follows workmanship standards documentation
- Compliance with quality procedures within assembly and test functions
- Assists with ensuring departmental cost, delivery & quality performance targets are consistently achieved
- Assists with ensuring good environmental, health & safety (E.H.S.) practice within the department to help ensure the company remain
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Engineering Fitter Electrical Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
Year 1 L2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations Year 2 & 3, Apprentice will work towards Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English functional skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship.
Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.
