What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Understanding manufacturing principles/processes to complete daily tasks efficiently
  • Basic electrical AC and DC training
  • Ensuring all production sheets and quality checklists are completed
  • Completing all of the relevant training records
  • Eagerness to learn and take in knowledge
  • Understand the workings of our products
  • Packaging products to a high standard, when completing production sheets, ensuring they are signed by the manager
  • Ensuring the workplace is tidy and organised at the end of each day

  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment
  • Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing - Knowledge & Skills (workplace)
  • Level 1 Functional Skills - maths (if required)
  • Level 1 Functional Skills - English (if required)
  • End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Within the Manufacturing team, there are a number of progression routes a successful applicant could take. This includes progressing to a supervisor position within the Manufacturing team or moving to the technical department as a Technical Specialist. As well as, progressing into a more office-based role as a Customer Service Advisor, as the technical knowledge gained through Manufacturing is extremely beneficial for the Customer Service Team.

Things to consider

There will also be the opportunity to attend site visits with a more senior member of the Manufacturing or Technical Team. These visits provide an excellent opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge of our products. This opportunity would be optional.
