What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Apprentice you will be taught to promote a carefully planned structure for the children’s day through close monitoring of individuality and provision of ongoing activities to enhance and support the children’s development to their full potential.

You will be responsible for:

  • To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
  • To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
  • To developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
  • To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Deputy Nursery Manager/Nursery Manager.
  • To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working toward the achievement of the Level 3 Early Years Educator. This, will be delivered via monthly Tutor led workshops (a combination of face to face and live, virtual 3 – 2 sessions) self-led study and blending learning and development activities, all, within the workplace.

Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking their end point assessment. Apprentices will also need to complete a first aid qualification. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As with any apprenticeship opportunity – if you prove yourself to be a valuable member of the team there is a strong chance of a permanent post within the business.
