What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work as an effective team member and achieve set objectives. You will need to demonstrate an organised approach to work tasks, be able to offer good customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders and have good written and oral communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Human Resources department
  • To assist in supporting the recruitment and selection process
  • To provide administrative support for all aspects of the department
  • To deal with initial enquires and visitors to the Human Resources department
  • Provide excellent and effective customer service

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will achieve the Business Administrator apprenticeship at level 3 and receive the support of a workplace mentor and vocationally competent assessor. They will also be supported to achieve functional skills in maths and English at level 2 unless they are able to provide evidence of exemption.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful applicant may want to consider a career in HR and could look to source a HR apprenticeship when they have completed this programme. There may be other administration opportunities available to apply for within college on completion of this apprenticeship.
