What will the apprentice be doing?

The main aspect of the role will involve the below:-

  • Quality control.
  • Inspection and Measurement.
  • Involved in ISO audits.
  • Process improvement.
  • Quality manual.

Lean engineering and Continuous improvement.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be required to attend Sandwell College for 1 day a week over the 42-month programme. During this time, you will complete your Level 3 Engineering Technician Diploma on a Technical Support Pathway.

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The company will support you all the way through your apprenticeship and further should you wish to continue to gain Engineering qualifications.

Things to consider

Once embedded in the role shifts will change. Mon - Fri 6am to 2pm one week and Mon – Fri 2pm to 10pm on the following week once at a competent level to do so. With one shift being on a permanent night basis working Mon – Fri 10pm – 6am
