What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Production assistant, your duties will include the following:

  • Planning production capacity.
  • Production scheduling.
  • Procurement of materials.
  • Environmental and ISO.
  • Project Management activities.
  • Supporting accounts.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be required to attend Sandwell College for 1 day a week over the 42-month programme. During this time, you will complete your Level 3 Engineering Technician diploma on a Technical Support Pathway

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) - for all starts from 1st July 2017

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The company will support you all the way through your apprenticeship and further should you wish to continue to gain Engineering qualifications.
