What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Active involvement in projects, with the opportunity to lead projects and small teams
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to deliver projects or work activity on time, and building a one-team ethic
  • Prioritise workload efficiently, while delivering all tasks and accountabilities which could include project management, people management, strategic planning and reporting
  • Coach and assist with the development of other colleagues in the team to maximise their potential
  • Take ownership of individual development, identifying areas for skills and behaviour improvement and proactively acting upon these needs

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Across this four year apprenticeship, you will study towards a Level 6 in Chartered Management qualification.

Successful apprentices will achieve a degree in management and business [either BA (Hons); BSc (Hons) or BBA (Hons)]

Training will be completed at London Heathrow and this will be Monday to Friday. Buckinghamshire New University, High Wycombe Campus.

Following the completion of your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to apply for internal roles at British Airways, or further your learning on one of our graduate schemes.

Things to consider

You’ll need to have strong self-motivation as well as the ability to adapt to change. GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C) are desirable but not essential. You’ll need to hold or be predicted to hold 2 A Level passes or Level 3 equivalent.
