What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily tasks will include:

  • Taking card payments
  • Inputting orders
  • General office housekeeping
  • Processing orders
  • Manage & maintain record for courier claims and customer returns
  • Ensure credit card reconciliations are done daily and any discrepancies resolved immediately
  • Make sure all new customers are set up on the system
  • Maintain general housekeeping in offices
  • Action any other duties required by management
  • Communicating with operations manager and all warehouse/customer services staff
  • Inputting customer delivery information into courier portal for dispatch

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprenticeship training is delivered 100% in the workplace, with regular visits from a Yeovil College Assessor. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Customer Service Practitioner standard.

On completion, the apprentice will receive Customer Service Practitioner level 2 qualification. Functional Skills in maths and English may also be required depending on current level.

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on.
