What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To establish and identify customers' requirements
  • Resolve all issues/assist when required with National Accounts
  • To ensure that telephones are answered in an efficient manner
  • To ensure that progress calls from customers are dealt with efficiently and that customers are kept fully aware of completion times or delays when required
  • To contact customers on a daily basis to discuss their service requirements
  • To contact customers once the service is complete to gain authorisation for any repair work that is needed
  • Once all work has been carried out contact the customer with a courtesy call to ensure they are satisfied with the work we have done
  • Liaise with the Service Supervisor to ensure correct Workshop loading
  • Liaise with Service Engineers to determine any additional service work
  • To prepare quotations for customers approval
  • Ensure correct and detailed information on each customer is maintained on the computer system

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will study a Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Standard. This will be aided by an assessor who will carry out all assessments as work-based learning within the workplace.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression to higher level or permanent employment for the right person.
