What will the apprentice be doing?
Due to Company expansion, we are currently seeking to employ an apprentice to join our logistics team. Working closely with the Spare parts & Equipment co-ordinators you will assist with the daily customer and staff materiel and technical enquiries, coupled with the high tempo commercial supply and demands.
With onsite training your duties will include
- Communicate with customers, face to face, email, telephone
- Accurately input supply and demand orders on to our in-house ICT system, Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP)
- Execute the safe, efficient and accurate order selection
- Pack orders
- Label and despatch orders
Further training and development you will learn the finite detail in supply chain operations and processes i.e., stock control, receipting of stores onto account from internal and external suppliers, accounting and invoicing etc.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Holmer Road (HR4 9SX).
You will receive training a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote in CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your Customer Service Practitioner Level 2.
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in spring of each year.
