What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pack, wrap, label)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Unloading of containers by handball (up to 25kg per carton)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for our audits (you will assisted by manager and or supervisor on this normally done once or twice a year)
  • Report any discrepancies or any problems to warehouse manager
  • Communicate and cooperate with all other staff 
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Keep warehouse tidy and clean at all times and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep warehouse checks up to date
  • Help in the cleaning of our road vehicle fleet
  • Filling in drivers paperwork for incoming and outgoing deliveries.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will study towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehousing Operative qualification.
  • Functional skills if required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Successful apprentice might be able to progress towards a permanent role.
