What will the apprentice be doing?

This role is an apprenticeship so training will be provided to enable you to carry out the role and responsibilities listed below. 

  • Operating both wide format presses and narrow web
  • Complete samples and visual inspection of all products that are printed
  • Ensure the colour and visual impact of the design meets the customers expectation
  • Monitor required timescales of the printed products
  • Perform the daily/Weekly maintenance routines on press
  • Perform all duties in line with Company Standards, Environmental Policy, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety Standards
  • Provide cover for other team members during busy periods, absence and holidays

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • One day per month study offsite workplace with Learn2print
  • Apprenticeship Standard for Print Operative Level 2
  • Functional skills if required.


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full-time permanent position will be available for the right candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship.
