What will the apprentice be doing?

Some patients will be here for a check-up while others will have more complicated treatment. You'll need to reassure people and put them at ease, while supporting the team in all aspects of patient care.

In our dental practice, you'll welcome patients and provide direct support with the treatment itself, taking responsibility for the decontamination of instruments, maintaining dental operating equipment, ensuring that all relevant materials and supplies are in place and looking after patient records including making notes and filing.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing
  • Functional Skills, if required

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
