What will the apprentice be doing?

You will have exposure to a wide range of machinery including some of the largest cold extrusion presses in Western Europe. 

You will be working with a range of machinery to include:

  • Chaffer Elbow Presses
  • Wellman Tee Presses
  • CNC Lathes and Machining Centres
  • Wellman & Birlec Gas Furnaces
  • Water Quench Tanks
  • Surface Grinders & Finishing Machines
  • Multi Head Bevelling Machines
  • Automatic and Manual Saws
  • Radial Drillers
  • Vertical Millers

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative.

Functional Skills in maths and English if required. 

Training will be provided by City of Wolverhampton College. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is a permanent role.The level 2 apprenticeship will be for a period of 12 months. The opportunity to progress to level 3 will be offered after successful completion of level 2.
