What will the apprentice be doing?
Key responsibilities:
- Provide care and support on an individual basis.
- To work to an agreed package of care that is holistic and led by the needs and preferences of the person using the service.
- To follow care plans, service agreements and risk assessments in place.
- To keep records updated in line with the company's administration formats.
- To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working towards to same objectives, providing the highest level of person-centred care for our service users.
- To act as an ambassador for the company whilst lone working promoting the positive aspects of the company's mission statement and ethos.
- Communicate as required with other care/support professionals to implement care provision.
- To maintain client independence, autonomy, choice and personal fulfilment, promoting dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Enable the individual to feel supported to achieve positive personal aims and objectives.
- To attend staff meetings as required.
- To follow the companies’ policies and procedures in line with legislation and codes of practice.
- To complete training/probation/supervision/appraisal deadlines as set by CQC and Belvoir Home care.
Day-to-day duties can include:
- Offering companionship.
- Medication support and reminders.
- Help with house duties like cooking and cleaning.
- Picking up shopping and prescriptions.
- Client care duties like bathing, toileting and grooming.

- All study will take place at the employer’s address.
