What will the apprentice be doing?

You'll complete a Business Admin Level 3 Qualification and the duration of this Apprenticeship is 15 Months.

Your job role will consist of a variety of administrative duties and coaching others with some management responsibilities and you will work full time at the workplace, which means you don't need to attend college.

As the business administrator you will be expected to complete admin duties and work on the Surgery’s reception desk carrying out the following:

  • Ensure the reception area of the practice runs smoothly to provide a high level of service
  • You will be responsible for registering new patients and temporary residents, ambulance transport bookings, handing out and issuing prescriptions
  • Dealing with general enquires and complaints and booking appointments and prescriptions
  • You will be expected to carry out accurate scanning and electronic filing of confidential patient information and learn all aspects of Practice administration within a busy GP Practice

Business administartion Level 3 qualification including Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.

For the right candidate a permanent position may be offered on completion of your apprenticeship.
