What will the apprentice be doing?

The apprentice will be shadowing their assigned Engineer for the Depth they're allocated in. He / She is there to learn the basics from the assigned Engineer gaining practical knowledge in a safe managed environment.

Main Roles and Responsibilities will include: 

  • CNC Turning
  • CNC Milling
  • Gear Cuttings
  • Grinding
  • Inspection
  • Shipping dept

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The succesfull candidate will be working towards the Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard. The apprentice will attend College 1 day per week. 

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
