What will the apprentice be doing?
As an apprentice, you will work with children, attend all trainings, complete all assignments set on time, work as a part of the team, liaise with mentor and manager.
Your duties and responsibilities:
- To attend meetings and participate in sharing ideas
- To provide care for children including changing and feeding under supervision
- To meet personal, social and emotional needs of individual children
- To provide adult interaction with children in the nursery
- To be aware of the nursery's confidentiality policy, and other policies the manager deems appropriate
- To be a team player
- To desire to help children develop and grow to achieve their full potential
- To be enthusiastic and patient

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Over the course of 15 – 18 months (dependent upon the level of course an apprentice is being enrolled onto), you will study units such as health & safety in a childcare setting, holistic child development, safeguarding in a childcare setting, child development, communication with children, purposeful play and educational programmes, supporting children with special educational needs, collaborative working in early years childcare, wellbeing principles for children and at higher levels, child protection, data, supporting key life transitions and behaviour management (these modules may differ).
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 3 Early years education qualification, a TQUK Diploma in Early Years, and a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification.
