What will the apprentice be doing?

Other tasks will include:

  • Keyword research with web statistics reporting
  • Assist Lead Generation by writing and dispatching email marketing campaigns and follow up
  • Maintaining contacts database and assisting with lead generation activities
  • Desk-based but interacting with the daily company business in an open office environment
  • The role will require direct customer communication via website chat tools, email and phone; also working closely with Product Owners and other marketing team members to drive visibility and sales of their product ranges using multiple online tools: Google Adwords, Analytics, CRM, webstore backends, Mailchimp, LinkedIn for both project and ongoing targets

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Digital Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Mentored by the Managing Director and Marketing team, including off-the-job training as part of the Apprenticeship
  • The apprentice would be assigned an assessor through the College, who would typically come out to visit the workplace to assess workplace competence

·       BCS Level 3 Certificate in Marketing Principles

·       BCS Level 3 Certificate in Digital Marketing Business Principles

·       Google Analytics IQ

·       BCS Level 3 Certificate in Marketing Principles

·       Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2 (exemptions apply).

 

Day release/ online study to CRC.

 

The knowledge side would be provided via an online portal VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), and assignments/ evidence of work/ portfolio would be checked via an online Smart Assessor.

Things to consider

The core of the job role will be the Development & Management of our Adwords Campaigns, analysis and reporting of campaigns will be key to success in the role. While this is an underpinning component of the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, we believe that the role’s focus on Adwords will require the candidate to have a depth of maturity and consideration in how they structure their work and follow through on iterative developments.
