What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Help children to progress and realise their full potential
  • Completing observations and planning activities for children
  • Build a solid and strong relationship with children, parents and staff members
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording children’s progress
  • Report any accidents/incidents to the relevant member of staff
  • Ensure all health and safety and safeguarding procedures are being followed
  • Maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the setting and do domestic tasks as required with other staff

About the employer

Kensal Green Under Fives Group is a nursery based in Mortimer Road near Kensal Green tube station in North West London. We currently have around 36 children between the ages of 20 months and five years in our care. The nursery is managed on a not-for-profit basis by parents and staff. We all own it. We decide on a policy for the nursery. Parental and staff involvement is not only valued but it is also expected. Making a choice to have your child in this nursery means you take responsibility, along with the staff, for the continued existence of the nursery.
