What will the apprentice be doing?

This role includes:

  • Answering the phone.
  • Taking orders and advertising stock.
  • You will be speaking to customers on the telephone and in person on a regular basis so good communication and customer service skills are essential. 
  •  The company stock around 400 cars in their yard and the successful candidate will inspect each car and enter all good parts accurately onto the data base.
  • When parts are sold, you will create an invoice for each transaction and book them on ready for collection. 

Having an interest and bit of knowledge in cars would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Successful applicant will work towards Functional Skills Maths and English if they have not previously achieved GCSE Grade C / 4 or above in these subjects.

Davies Salvage are specialists in the collection of scrap cars and other vehicles throughout Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. They scrap all kinds of vehicles, specialising in cars that are damaged beyond repair, as well as MOT Test failures. Davies Salvage Ltd also sell on second hand car parts from their scrap car yard in Langar. They sell on a variety of car parts, from part worn tyres to a bulb or a complete engine or gearbox assembly.
