If you love playing with children, making them laugh and smile and helping them to develop into happy, confident and successful young people, an apprenticeship at Muddy Puddles is for you. Our small friendly team will support you to learn on the job. We will teach you about how to keep children safe and how to teach them through their play.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Working hours 7:30-13:30 Monday to Friday.
- Working mostly with children ages 2-4.
- Playing with children. Helping them to learn and develop.
- Supporting children at meal-times.
- Helping to maintain a safe and stimulating environment; keeping it clean and tidy.
- Working with our team of staff to keep children safe.
- Building relationships with children and parents.
- Muddy Puddles polo shirt provided.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification.
Working hours 7:30-13:30. During this time staff will support you in learning on the job and helping you settle into your role.
Regular online tutorials with your tutor. Tutorials can be completed in our office where you will be supplied with a laptop.
Support from your assigned tutor. Staff that have trained through HIT training have found their tutors to be extremely supportive and readily available to answer questions about coursework.
Coursework to be completed out of working hours. Staff are always more than happy to help with any questions you have about your coursework.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After your apprenticeship there will be a position available at Muddy Puddles for you as a nursery practitioner. If you wish to continue to complete your level 3 in early years education we will strongly encourage this and support you through this training with HIT.
