What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Supporting the medical centre staff across a range of administration duties which include working across admin and clinical work areas
  • The position will involve working on administrative projects as well
    as some clinical projects. This could include clinical audits and
    searches, speaking with patients to collect clinical data, working on Health & Safety, infection control, HR, CQC requirements and
    website projects.
  • It will include bringing policies up to date, writing
    new protocols, and may develop in to presenting data to the clinical meeting.
  • It is possible that over the time of the apprenticeship the role will develop in the direction of the needs of the practice.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administration

Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 in
maths and English, must achieve these prior to end point

planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet
the individual needs of the apprentice.

About the employer

East Bridgford Medical Centre is a rural practice with just over 7,500 patients. There is a large clinical team of 3 GP Partners 1 salaried GP, Physician Associate, Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, 3 Practice nurses, 2 HCA’s and a Dispensary. We are a training practice and currently have 6 GP Registrars. We are looking to strengthen the administration team to support the clinical team and the Practice Manager with various projects.
