What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will become part of the Office team. You will work in all areas of customer service. Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Answering the phone
- Customer services both over the phone & by email
- Loading new products across 6 sites
- Liaising with the production studio
- Spending time working in the studio so as to understand the production
- Working with our social media staff to understand how we use social media
- Doing order reccies across all sites to ensure no orders have been missed
- Organising couriers for overseas deliveries
- Working with pricing staff so as to understand how we do pricing
- Researching new suppliers
- Ordering from suppliers

You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by the Office Manager as well as having regular meetings with your tutor.

We are a very busy company and everyone works hard but we do always try to have fun along the way. The business tends to be seasonal and Christmas can be crazy busy!

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The office is based in central Yeovil and is easily reached by bus or car and we have free parking right outside the office. The office hours are 9 to 5.30 with a 45 minute lunch break. 

All training for the Customer Services Practitioner Apprenticeship is done onsite and, if necessary, at Yeovil College. As well as working in the office, you will also spend time in our production studio so that you can understand the full journey of each order. This is especially helpful when dealing with customers on the phone or by email.

Your line manager will be the Office Manager (once an apprentice herself) and she will guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship. Your training will on a continuous basis as you learn new areas throughout the 12 months.

Your apprenticeship will last 12 months after which you will acquire Customer Services Practitioner Level 2.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once qualified, Jonny's Sister always offers the apprentice a permanent job. During the apprenticeship both you and your line manager will have found out where your strengths and passions lie. In the permanent position offered we will always try and match you to these areas.
